14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
~ In what areas of your life do you struggle most with trusting God? How might you be tempted to grumble about your situation? Will you spend some time in conversation with God about this today?
~ How has God used you this past week to shine in the midst of a warped and crooked generation? Who did He use to shine in your life? How will you praise Him?
The first thing that came to mind as an area that I find myself grumbling and arguing with God about is my relationships... especially the ones closest to me such as my family. I am not proud to say that I fall into the trap of feeling sorry for myself a lot of the time and have my own little pity parties. I am really convicted by this because I want to trust what God is doing in these relationships and I want to have patience with God and people. So I'm completely prompted to have a conversation with God because as much as I want to change this I know that real heart change starts with Him and I think I need a heart and attitude adjustment.
ReplyDeleteOn a different note I am so thankful for the leaders God has placed in my life and how He shined through them this week. Lord I praise you for knowing me and providing the right people to say just the right things. Thank you!
