Colossians 1:15-16

The Supremacy of the Son of God
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

~ In these verses Paul is addressing one of the components of the heresy threatening the Colossian church which was the denial of the deity of Christ. What characteristics of Christ do you find here?
~According to these verses by whom and for whom have you been made? How might this change your attitude toward today?

  1. 1)God in the "flesh" (Christ is the "image" of God...Scripture says God is Spirit); Creator of all things! So in Genesis 1:26 when God was doing all the creating, and said "us", that means Jesus was there!
2)All for Jesus. Attitude shift? Well, this sure makes it plain that this life is certainly not about me! lol! I'm to live in Him and for Him and through Him! Daily perspective shift indeed.
